In February 2025, Home Away hosted its inaugural ‘Home Away’ Sports Festival at InSportz Dubai in collaboration with the SmartLife Foundation. The festival was able to gather many enthusiastic blue-collar workers for a day dedicated to sports and connection.
This included a cricket tournament for men and a badminton tournament for women which were supplemented by more fun, short, carnival-style games as well!
The overall event was a tremendous success – fostering connections and providing participants with a much-needed day of enjoyment and camaraderie.
154 participants in attendance.
AED 9000 raised and donated to SmartLife’s education program that supports the children of migrant workers.
All participants were provided with free sports jerseys, meals, water bottles and an electrical kettle; made possible through generous contributions of our individual and corporate sponsors.
The event was covered and published via articles that featured key insights by Gulf News and Khaleej Times.
